Matt Tucker represents developers, investors, homebuilders and landlords in acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and commercial leasing across the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County market, guiding a deal from structuring through closing and the obligations that follow it.
Matt joined KatzDay as a Senior Associate in 2024. He previously served as General Counsel for a Maryland-based vacation realty company and as a litigation associate at a Philadelphia-area law firm. His experience also includes commercial contracts, corporate governance, board affairs, regulatory compliance, risk management and employment matters.
Matt earned his B.A. in Political Science from Tufts University and his law degree from Rutgers School of Law–Camden. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey.
Representative Matters
• Represented purchasers in the $22.5 million acquisition of a five-parcel commercial portfolio in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, involving tenancy-in-common ownership, acquisition financing and two Section 1031 exchanges.
• Represented the seller in the $22.5 million sale of a 27-acre industrial site in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, including a development agreement and lease terminations.
• Represented the seller in the $6 million sale of an approximately nine-acre industrial outdoor storage property subject to a ground lease.
• Represented the seller in the $4.25 million sale of a retail and warehouse building in Annapolis, Maryland, including Section 1031 exchange and replacement-property structuring.
• Represented the buyer in the $7 million acquisition of an approximately 21,000-square-foot, fully leased mixed-use building in downtown Annapolis, Maryland.
• Represented a national homebuilder in the $12.5 million acquisition of 195 acres in Jefferson County, West Virginia, including a land-bank takedown structure and development agreements.
