Abdul-Ali "Ali" Wali advises homebuilders and owners on residential and commercial transactions, title and due diligence. His prior in-house experience includes homebuilder counsel from land acquisition through homebuyer settlements, as well as underwriting compliance and the resolution of title defects.
Ali joined KatzDay as a Senior Associate in 2025. He previously served as in-house counsel at DRB Homes, supporting real estate development projects and a multistate portfolio of more than $20 million in ongoing sales. Earlier, at Hijazi & Carroll, P.A., he handled litigation and transactional matters involving leasing, foreclosures, landlord-tenant issues and contractual disputes.
Ali earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he was a Leadership Scholar and participated in the Intellectual Property Clinic. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry, cum laude, from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is admitted to practice in Maryland.
